Volunteering at Lotus House
Volunteers play an essential role in everything we do here at Lotus House. From helping serve a meal, organizing a supply closet, to hosting a workshop or activity- volunteers make a life changing difference in the lives of the women and children we shelter.
Volunteer Requirements
- Complete Our Volunteer Agreement
- Must be at least 12 years old
How To Become A Volunteer
All interested volunteers are required to complete our volunteer packet. The packets can be found here:
Once you have completed this packet please do one of the following:
If you are an individual volunteer, please email [email protected] stating that you have completed the packet and the days & times you are available to volunteer
If you are reaching out to complete any service hours that may be either school or court-related, please let us know so that we may assist you accordingly.
If you are part of a group, please let your team leader know that you have completed the packet so that they can share any additional instructions
After review and approval, we will assist in scheduling your first 10 hours volunteering
After 10 hours we require a background check and our team will reach out to provide how to complete
Please note that completing this packet does not guarantee a volunteer position as volunteer hours are subject to approval and availability.

Everyone, including minors, must complete our volunteer agreement before they are able to volunteer.
There is free street parking on the adjacent streets surrounding the shelter. We recommend carpooling if you are coming with a group.
Sure! We just require that you reach out at 3 business days in advance to confirm availability and to have them complete the required volunteer paperwork.
Yes! We are able to accept food, hygiene products, and school supplies directly at the shelter. Other items should be taken to our donation center located at Lotus House Thrift Chic Boutique. Please email [email protected] for any questions related to donations.
